Open & Agile Smart Cities (OASC) will launch the 5th wave in Barcelona at the Smart City Expo World Congress on 15-17 November. The 5th is the latest group of worldwide smart cities to join OASC, bringing the total above 100 cities.

“It’s exciting. We started OASC in March 2015 with 31 cities from 7 countries,” said Martin Brynskov, chair of OASC. “Now, more than 100 cities from across the globe are participating in the network. The movement just keeps on growing. Our focus is now on bringing value to the national networks, supporting them to reach their goals.”

At the expo, the 5th wave will be launched on 16 November from the expo floor at the OASC stand (A174).
The Smart City Expo World Congress ’16 motto is ‘Cities for Citizens’. This aligns perfectly with the upcoming OASC Connected Smart Cities Conference on January 12, 2017 in Brussels with the theme: ‘Making IoT work for cities and citizens’.

OASC will be live tweeting the expo this year @oascities. You can also follow the activities on @OrganiCity_eu, @SELECT4CITIES, @SmartCityexpo, and #SCEWC16. And don’t miss the Creative Ring and ENoLL at the booth adjacent to OASC.
